When Victor from 3D Royal pitched to do our flooring, he mentioned something about using imported microcement and sealer from Germany which is much better than other companies in the UK use. I didnt think anything of this at the time but was impressed with the company so went with them and was absolutely delighted with the result of our complex project.

Last weekend I spilt hair dye on our beautiful floor and ruined it. Nothing got it out; hair dye is, unsurprisingly, the worst possible stain to remove. Chatgpt and others all confirmed there was no chance of it being removed and the floor would need extensive and costly repair work. We were devastated.

I phoned Victor and he confirmed nothing would remove hair dye but said that this German sealant is fantastic and should have kept the microcement safe. He popped over last night and in 20 minutes completely restored the floor without having to do anything to the underlying microcement material. We are very grateful to 3D Royal and so relieved we went with them instead of a competitor.

Our standards are very high, we are not easily pleased and do not give praise lightly; anything less than perfection is unacceptable. However we have been blown away by Victor and his team at 3D royal. They microcemented our garden, entire ground floor and two bathrooms. The result is spectacular.

Our job was complex in as much as there was a large amount of prep work to be undertaken and needed a high level of coordination with other builders renovating the rest of the house. I researched numerous microcement companies and 3D royal was the only one prepared to take on the responsibility for both the prep work and the application of microcement. We needed a lot of support to execute the works as the floor in its original state was entirely unsuitable to be microcemented and we have never undertaken a flooring project like this.

Their commitment to customer service, attention to detail and high standards are exemplary. We couldn't be happier and recommend them without hesitation.

How long does a professional resin or microcement floor last?

Both professionally installed resin and microcement floors offer exceptional longevity, but the exact lifespan depends on usage:

Resin/Epoxy: Generally lasts 15 to 25 years or more in residential settings and 10+ years in commercial environments (like showrooms or kitchens) before needing a new topcoat or resurfacing.
Microcement: Typically lasts 10 to 15 years or more with proper maintenance. Like resin, its durability is largely determined by the quality of the final sealant, which can be easily reapplied to refresh the floor and extend its life.

How long does the average resin or microcement installation take?

The installation process is not fast, as it involves multiple layers that must fully cure.

Average Installation Time: A standard residential project (e.g., a large kitchen or small ground floor) usually takes 3 to 5 days from surface preparation to the final sealant application.
Curing Time: While the floor is typically walkable within 24–48 hours after the final coat, it takes 5 to 7 days to reach full chemical hardness (full cure). We advise clients to avoid heavy objects, furniture movement, and deep cleaning during this final cure period
